On the begining of the 20th.Century, the Marcony Telegraph Company bought a small parcel of earth in Punta del Este,Uruguay .-

They build a beautiful house only 50 m.from the Atlantic Ocean.-

Perhaps,they were the matters electromagnetic conditions  discovered by Charles Darwin 50 years before those that took to Marconi to settle down there.-

This house was used by the Marconi Telegraph Compny for 20 years,and when Guglielmo Marconi was here in 1910,he made radio contacts with his owns stations in Recife, Brasil and with Terranova.-

The 12AT-Marconi Special Event Station was actived from this place in September of 1997 and made 277contacts with  33 countries all over the world.-

The first one was with 161SM032 and the last one was with 1DT145.-

The Manager was 1AT024 Saverio.-
